August Newsletter

St. John the Baptist School
August 2019

"Through reflective and collaborative practices, we will create a positive, safe and inspiring learning environment that promotes a sense of community and ensures child-focused decision making to develop confident, motivated students who love reading and learning"

Dear Parents:
It is hard to believe that we have started school. Everyone seems to have come in ready to learn and settle into the daily routine. Please remember that you play a vital role in your child's success at school. You can help by asking about his/her day, having a positive attitude about learning and reading to or with your child every night. You would be amazed what 20 minutes of reading with your child each night will do for his/her language development and reading skills. Thank you for all your support at home! Thank you for choosing St. John the Baptist for yourchild's education.
Debby Powell and Sue Ann Webb, Interim Co-Principals

Thank you for your efforts to get your children to school on time each day!. Our school day starts at 8:05 and instruction begins right away. Please remember to call the office if your child will not be here or will be tardy. 618-937-2017
